It’s hard to ignore graduation week here in Ann Arbor when everything seemingly revolves around the university. The town is abuzz with visitors as thousands upon thousands of students celebrate their graduation and townies avoid campus like the plague. Thankfully, the shop is a bit outside of all the bustle if you want to stop in this week!
As a Michigan alum (exactly one decade ago in fact—I’m feeling old), we’re leaning into the maize and blue this year with a selection of Michigan-themed pastries. But don’t worry, not everything will be blue and yellow. We even have a couple green and white things(!) for the minority MSU fans out there (although this wasn’t intentional haha). Not at all interested in school spirit? We got you. We have all of our staple menu items that are plain ol’ beige and brown like always.
Graduation Week Specials
Michigan M Cookie - Vanilla bean rolled sugar cookie dipped in royal icing and decorated with blue and gold sprinkle mix. The cookies are made with virgin coconut oil for a hint of coconutty flavor. These are my husband’s favorite cookies and we don’t make them often so I always save him the scraps.
Mango Citrus Tart - Buttery tart dough filled with a mango, lemon, and orange curd then topped with mascarpone whipped cream and sugared blueberries. The curd is electric yellow and the fresh blueberries add the hint of blue we need!
Lemon Blueberry Chiffon Cake Roll - Our chiffon cake is mixed with blueberry powder and butterfly pea flower powder for a natural pastel blue and filled with lemony turmeric-colored whipped cream. A swirl of baby blue and yellow!
Maize & Blue Funfetti Cake Slices - Friday and Saturday only, we’ll have maize and blue funfetti cake slices to celebrate graduation. The cake itself will be dotted with maize and blue jimmies with more sprinkle mix on top for decoration.

No Lunch Special!
Because of graduation, we’ve decided to not have lunch special this week. Instead, we have an extra breakfast sandwich special, a Bolo Bao Bacon Egg & Cheese, that will be available Friday-Sunday. We also have a big Sunday brunch menu planned. So fear not for all of our lunch regulars out there—please join us for Sunday brunch instead!
We look forward to seeing you this week whether you are a graduate or not!
